We know families are busy—it's okay if you miss meetings or events. Just do your best and keep your Den Leader informed. If your Scout falls behind on adventures, many can be completed at home—check in with your Den Leader so they can track progress. Participation is encouraged, but never forced—kids can always sit out and join in when they’re ready.
The Cub Scout motto is “Do Your Best,” and that’s all we ask.

In Scouting, we will not compromise the safety of our youth or volunteers.
Every Scout deserves a trained leader. All registered Adult Leaders go through a mandatory criminal background check and must complete the Safegaurding Youth Training. We encourage parents and guardians to take Safeguarding Youth Training as well, which can be taken online for free. Also, Scouting America has created A Parent's Guide to Youth Protection.
We encourage all our leaders to take additional training, online and in-person, so we can provide a fun and safe program for our Cub Scouts and their families.
Annual Health and Medical Record forms are required to be completed at least once a year by all participants in any Scouting activity. Form C only needs to be completed for events longer than 72 hours (i.e. Summer Camp) and must be filled out by a physician. This includes participating family members and siblings.
